SuperStoffig (Magic Fabrics)

SuperStoffig (Magic Fabrics)

Magic Fabrics

On 7 and 8 September, the preHistorisch Dorp will be entirely dedicated to the theme of textiles and clothes. SuperStoffig is the new event at the preHistorisch Dorp, following Beauty & Fashion door de eeuwen heen (Beauty & Fashion throughout the ages). If you have a thing for fashion, sustainability, and the techniques used to make textiles, you really have to be there for this event!

From conception to costume, textiles throughout the ages

During SuperStoffig you will see the museum at its most beautiful, showing wonderful fabrics and fashion from the past up until now. You will not only learn all about fashion and costumes, but also about the entire production of textiles and re-useability, sustainability, and second-hand clothes throughout the ages. From the simplest of weaving techniques up to the sophisticated looms from the Middle Ages: SuperStoffig takes you on a journey through time focussed on textile production. Artisans show the art of spinning, weaving, and dying with passion and craftsmanship. And of course, you will also get a chance to lend a helping hand or buy beautiful treasures from one of the merchants.

Route and Parking

You can park your car for free at the preHistorisch Dorp. There is plenty of space for cars in front of the Leeuw Trainingscentrum at Boutenslaan 161. From there you can reach our museum within a few minutes' walk. Preferably do not park your car in the neighborhood.

Is the parking lot full? Then park at Anton Coolenlaan 5. From here you can have a nice 15-minute walk through the green zone Genneper Parken to arrive at the museum. Along the way you will pass green meadows and some great forest views.
